Long time no see. I have FINALLY gotten round to writing my review for The Body Shop's Youth Liquid Peel. This product launched at the end of January and I have been trying it (spoiler!) and loving it since.
What is a Liquid Peel?
This liquid peel is The Body Shop's latest skincare product from the Drops of Youth - anti-ageing range. The peel gently exfoliates skin, concentrating only on dead, polluted skin, gently lifting it away and leaving behind a healthy, youthful layer of skin.
What are the Benefits of the Liquid Peel?
The liquid peel is suitable for all skin types - including dry, sensitive skin. Instantly, skin looks refreshed and over time, skin appears more youthful and healthy. This product is perfect for fighting the first signs of ageing. The Drops of Youth Liquid Peel contains three plant stem cells: Edelweiss, Sea Holly and Criste Marine; renewing the skin's texture, making it smoother and tighter.
How do I use the Liquid Peel?
Easy!
1. Cleanse and dry the skin.
2. Pump a small amount of the liquid peel on the fingers. Use small, circular motions to rub this into the skin for around 20 seconds.
3. You should be able to feel a 'clumping' sensation. This is the peel attaching itself to those dead, polluted skin cells!
4. Once you're happy (or disgusted) with the amount of dead skin collected, rinse off with warm water.
5. Follow up with your choice of moisturiser or serum! (For the full anti-ageing benefit, the Drops of Youth Concentrate and Youth Cream is recommended).
Hopefully you can see in the picture below; my skin appears smoother, more glowy and overall, looks so much healthier!
Is it Worth it?
Definitely! This product is so gentle I have been using it as my daily exfoliator and it has not irritated my dry skin. A little bit of this product goes such a long way, so although it costs £18, this will last you months! My skin is much smoother, looks healthier and I find it has helped with blackheads, amazingly enough?!
